Dr. Johnson provides most dental services. We are also blessed to have many skilled specialists close by in Missoula and Hamilton for the occasional needed referral.

Services offered by Dr. Johnson’s office include:

  • Composite Resin or “Tooth Colored” fillings
A composite resin filling is a resin material that is bonded to a tooth to fill a cavity, seal a pit or fissure, or alter the shape or color of a tooth. The filling is “bonded” or glued to the tooth. The advantages over the older metal type fillings include a more conservative preparation (less drilling) on the tooth, a more aesthetic result, typically less sensitivity when compared to metal, and there is no mercury in the resin.

  • Crowns
A crown is a dental restoration that completely covers a tooth. It is often use to protect a cracked or root canal treated tooth, restore extensive loss due to fractures or cavities, or improve the size, shape and color of a tooth. There are many types of materials used in making crowns, and each material has it's pros and cons. Our office offers most types of crowns including Lava, All Ceramic, Porcelain to Metal, Gold, All Zirconia, and Lithium Disilicate. We can help you select what type of crown is most appropriate for you.

  • Veneers

A Veneer is a dental restoration cemented on to the facial, or outside of a tooth. They are usually thought of as a "cosmetic" procedure, but are used in many ways. They are typically made out of porcelain. Porcelain Veneers are much stronger than a standard resin filling and have a much higher aesthetic potential. Veneers can be used to fix extensive decay, cover defects in/on a tooth, restore chipped and worn edges, and give that "movie-star" smile makeover. A veneer can be used to change and improve a tooth's shape, size and color.  Our labs are second to none and the results are impressive. We offer comprehensive care from planning to completion. If you're looking for that amazing "WOW" smile, we can help.

  • Invisible Braces

Invisible braces are actually not braces at all. It is more correctly called "Clear Aligner Therapy", and is an alternative approach to orthodontics. It is not however a replacement for orthodontic treatment in all cases. Clear aligners do have limitations and cannot always reach the same standards as traditional orthodontic therapy. It is often preferred by late teen and adult orthodontic patients due to the convenience and the lack of conspicuous bands and brackets of conventional orthodontics. The cases can vary from relapse correction taking as few as 3 months, to full cases lasting 12-24 months. As with all orthodontics, patient cooperation and compliance are the biggest factors in the overall success of any given case. If you have questions about Clear Aligners, or would like to start a case, give us a call!
